Legacy of Nelson Mandela

South Africa’s first black president and anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela has died at the age of 95.

“Every time Nelson Mandela walks in a room we all feel a little bigger, we all want to stand up, we all want to cheer, because we’d like to be him on our best day,” – BILL CLINTON.

It’s all over facebook, all over twitter, and pretty much the rest of the world wide web. The untimely passing of revered South African anti-apartheid icon… Nelson Mandela.

There is so much to write, to say about such a great man, and hopefully those who have been mourning his passing will learn to not only live their lives with better moral understanding, but also LEAD their lives to inspire those around them to become peaceful and loving humans. Too much time is lost in the materialistic ideals of the world that we can easily forget the very essence of life we share between us. The connection that brings us together allowing us to grow and evolve… LOVE.

But with every great leader, there will be times of great turmoil and tragedy. Regardless of his time in prison he did not aspire to inflict hate on those around him, he was brave and courageous enough to stand amongst their system and beat his oppressors.

I pray we too be empowered to change ourselves and become living SUPERHEROES in this world. We have lost too many great leaders and people to forget about each other. Let us not wait for another death amongst our family, peers, leaders for us to change.
